Pearl disease

This is a type of domestic cattle tuberculosis characterized by specific tuberculosis lesions in the serosa of the costal pleura and peritoneal membrane. Initially, red granulation tissue develops. This tissue is hard and lustrous because of marked proliferation of connective tissue and covering of each nodule with thick connective membrane. Its external appearance is like a bunch of grapes or peals. (register No. 3144)
